Woohoo! April Bloomfield is a fan of Arirang Kimchi


A couple years ago I had the pleasure of being hired as a Kitchen Manager at April Bloomfield’s Salvation Taco. There were a few occasions where Chef April had tasted Arirang Kimchi and loved it (you can imagine how excited my family was with such a compliment!). When Chef April asked to make kimchi with my mother, of course we said “yes!”. Chef got hands-on kimjang experience which was a beautiful sight to see. What we didn’t expect was the most flattering mention in her new book, ‘A Girl and Her Greens’. A very large THANK YOU to April Bloomfield for the mention! We’re ecstatic that you’re a fan!!

Arirang Kimchi is open for business



We are finally open for business! Thank you for your patience through the year. It was quite a journey to get to this point and boy are we glad we’re finally making kimchi! Our new location is 1 Remsen Place, #102 in Ridgefield, NJ; we can also be reached at 201-313-7975. We’re open 7 days a week so come by and purchase the very tasty kimchi that you’ve been waiting so long for.

We’ve Moved

We’ve had lots of inquiries about where we’ve gone. Don’t worry, we’re still here- just on a bit of a hiatus. We moved our home from Englewood, NJ to Ridgefield, NJ. More details to come. In the meantime, we want to thank you for your patience as we take the time to get started again.

Additional (Manhattan) access to Arirang Kimchi


Arirang Kimchi takes pride in making a delicious food product that people continue to purchase and eat with their meals. This means that it’s a type of friendship or bond, if you will, between kimchi and kimchi consumer. The fact that someone continues to give us this opportunity to be a part of their lives is what makes us proud and grateful. So far, our ‘friends’ have not been disappointed and we plan to keep it that way.

With that said, our Manhattan friends, too, can now enjoy Arirang Kimchi on a regular basis! Fortunately, Union Market‘s new location on Houston Street and Avenue A opens up this month! Make sure to stop by and check out the plethora of cheese, fresh breads, produce, fish, meat and gourmet goodies they have to offer. Then, of course, buy a jar of Arirang Kimchi to eat alongside those gourmet goodies!

Additionally, Bushwick-ites! You should know that Bushwick Food Coop now carries our product as well. Make sure to become a member to take advantage of the discounted prices!

Finally, if anyone would like for Arirang Kimchi to be in their local neighborhood market, please either place a request with the store, or contact us at and let us know where. We will work hard to get our tangy and yummy kimchi into that store.

Get your hands on some Arirang Kimchi through our sale on! With two weekends around July 4th this year, there are tons of opportunities to fire up that grill. Arirang Kimchi featured in Bon Appetit


Bon Appetit Magazine wanted to do a special on Kimchi and contacted us for our product. As if that wasn’t awesome enough, yesterday we were featured in their article, “Why Kimchi Should Have a Place on Your Table” and it mentions how truly unique the relationship is between food and country i.e. Kimchi and Korea, among other kimchi tidbits. Congrats to Food. Curated!


Just wanted to briefly congratulate Liza de Guia on her third James Beard Award nomination!! If anyone deserves it, it is her! She has such an impact on peoples’ lives with what she does. Thanks to her, Arirang Kimchi’s story (plus over 120 others’) was shown and heard ALL over the internet and TV. A HUGE plus is that she does this ALL on her own. She works her butt off and most definitely deserves the award. A big congratulations to Food. Curated!!!
